ImaginaryCTF
ImaginaryCTF 2025 is a cybersecurity CTF competition run by ImaginaryCTF with a variety of challenges for all skill levels. It runs from September 5 to September 7, starting and ending at 12 PM PDT.
This past Friday, a couple of my friends and I were playing imaginaryCTF. I decided to jump in and see if I could do something. I wasn't available for the entire competition — sadly, so big kudos to my teammates, it was chaos, yet they still managed to solve those harder challenges.
You'll be able to find my solutions for web, misc, and some "nice try buddy" attempts at other categories, including my post-competition upsolve of the codenames-2 challenge. Me sad that I could have nabbed this one during the actual event—classic case of 20/20 hindsight, lesson learned: =my brain enjoys trolling me=. I think imaginary was a very well-organized event with well-designed challenges. 10/10 would do it again next year, and again, and again. (truly unemployed activites, im not)
